Mend Adds a Staff+ Join Page and Automatic Picture in Picture to Telehealth Visits

Mend has released two updates to its telehealth video experience that help behavioral health teams focus on the person in front of them: a Staff+ Join Page that lets staff check their setup before entering a visit, and automatic Picture in Picture that keeps a visit in view when a clinician moves to another browser tab.

Before the visit: Staff+ Join Page

Staff can now check their camera, microphone and speaker before they enter a visit, and choose whether their camera and microphone are on when they join. Device problems get caught on the join page instead of in the first minute of a session.

During the visit: automatic Picture in Picture

When a Mend visit is open in one browser tab and the user switches to another, Picture in Picture can open automatically so the visit stays in view. A clinician can move to the chart, a note or a schedule without losing sight of the patient.

Once the feature is enabled for an organization, each user can turn it on or off from the visit's Settings.
